Chinese new year is quite interesting and there are acrobats, lion dancers, firecrackers and colorful. The third new year or Songkhtan festival reflects the old Thai traditions and beliefs. People celebrate this festival by sprinkling water on Buddha images, monks and people in the temple. This act is symbolic of the fact that water will run over the dry season.
